WESTFIELDFARM SERVICESPlanning, infrastructure and early-stage cost overview for an EV-led roadside service hub with ancillary commercial uses.
Background: Pexels · Altaf ShahThe proposal is envisaged as an EV-led roadside service hub, combining high-capacity electric vehicle charging with complementary roadside facilities such as food and beverage uses, convenience retail and associated services to support driver dwell time and motorway journeys.
The purpose of the planning brief is to establish the planning position in principle, summarise known site constraints and advantages, set out the highways, electricity and digital infrastructure context, identify a proportionate consultant strategy, provide refined early-stage cost estimates and highlight remaining matters to close prior to pre-application submission.
The current concept combines fuel, EV charging, hotel accommodation, farm shop, drive-thru coffee, coach parking, landscape buffers, pond/SuDS and a children's play area.
The report is intentionally concise and non-repetitive, suitable as a briefing note, internal decision paper or funder overview. This website expands that information into separate, easier-to-navigate sections while retaining the substance of the report.
